AWARE for All Event to Raise Clinical Research Awareness & Participation

Have you ever wondered where new medicines come from?

A very high percentage of the public cannot name a place where clinical trials are conducted and most say they wouldn’t know how to go about finding or evaluating clinical trials in which to participate. Medical experts point out that only 3% of eligible patients  actually enroll in clinical trials. Lack of information and public awareness is the biggest hurdle to participation.

Join us Wednesday, April 20th from 5-8 p.m. at Howard University’s Blackburn Center in Washington, D.C. as we proudly support CISCRP’s AWARE for All event.

AWARE for All is a free program that aims to educate and empower people like you to make informed decisions about clinical research participation. Our lives are impacted by clinical research every day. Each medication you take, from cold and allergy medicines to antibiotics was proven safe and made available because of the individuals who participated.

Since 2003, AWARE for All Clinical Research Days have been offered in over 45 cities across the globe. Attend the DC-based program for free health resources, complimentary refreshments, health screenings, and interesting talks from renowned physician speakers about recent medical breakthroughs. If you have participated in a clinical trial, we encourage you to attend, as well, to be recognized for the gift that you have given with your participation.

Register now to attend this event featuring educational presentations aimed at raising public interest in research. Hear from clinical trial participants who share their thoughts and views on how research has impacted their lives.
